The Vector is a submachine gun type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS. Introduced in the Early Access Month 1 Update of 2017, the Vector uses an unconventional delayed blowback system to mitigate recoil, making it easier to control automatic fire at close ranges.
Summary
The Vector, with its low recoil and average damage is most useful in close to mid-range combat. Boasting a very high rate of fire and low recoil, this gun also has the benefit of having the most attachment slots of all the SMGs to further increase its performance.
The major downside to this gun is — aside from it being less powerful per shot than the UMP45 — its rather small magazine capacity of 19 rounds. Thus, extended magazines are a must for anyone wishing to use this gun further into the match.

Update #59 (Season 15 - Update 15.1)
- Increased Head Damage multiplier from 1.8 to 2.1
Update #31 (Season 4 - Update 4.1)
- Increased effective damage over distance for all SMGs.
- Slightly increased damage multipliers for SMGs:
- Torso 1.05 (previously 1.0), Limb 1.3 (previously 1.25).
Update #27
- Weapon balance: Vector
- Vector has been rechambered to use 9mm ammo.
- Magazine capacity has been increased to 19 bullets by default and 33 with an extended mag (was 13/25).
- Damage decreased from 34 to 31 due to above changes.
- To make the Vector a little easier to find, we’ve increased its spawn rate at the expense of the spawn rate of the UMP-9 (overall SMG spawn rate remains the same).
- Lightweight Grip and Half Grip can now be attached to the Vector.
- Adjusted to be more effective in short range combat.
- Increased limb shots modifier.
- Slightly increased the damage of the Vector.
- Decreased vertical recoil.
- Decreased recoil and scope sway when moving in ADS.
- Increased ADS transition speed.

Trivia
- The Vector is based on the KRISS Vector, formerly known as the TDI Vector. Prior to Update #27, the Vector was chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge, dealing less damage per shot than the UMP9 although this was likely done for balancing reasons.
