Mk47 Mutant
The Mk47 Mutant is an assault rifle type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS.
This weapon was introduced in the Test Server PC 1.0 update #21.
Summary
The Mk47 Mutant is an assault rifle firing 7.62mm ammunition and is specialized for medium-range engagements. With higher base damage and muzzle velocity than the AKM, Beryl M762, or Groza, the Mutant does the most damage per shot of any assault rifle, and is easier to use at long range than its other 7.62mm brethren. However, it also has the smallest magazine size of any assault rifle and lacks a full-auto mode, which makes it more difficult to use in close-quarters engagements.
Its two-round burst function allows for seamless double taps at close and medium range, but the vertical dispersion of the bullets is highly dependent on the range of the engagement and the rifle's current attachments. While the first round is highly accurate, the rifle's first-shot recoil is imparted on the second round fired, which will make the second round hit increasingly high above the first round as the range to the target increases, often missing the target completely at long ranges. Attachments that reduce first-shot recoil, such as the Light Grip, are therefore highly effective at decreasing the gap between the impact points of the two rounds during burst fire.
The Mutant bridges the gap between assault rifles and DMR's, but players will likely want to carry a short range weapon to compensate for the Mutant's lack of full-auto capability.

- Weapon balance: Mk47 Mutant
- Tactical Stock can now be attached to the MK47 Mutant.

Pre-release

- Almost all types of attachments can be used with the MK47, but it has no stock slot.
