PLAYERUNKNOWN (or Brendan Greene) is the creator of PUBG.

Summary

PLAYERUNKNOWN originally designed the game mode (Battle Royale) as a mod for the ARMA series of games called DayZ: Battle Royale. After first bringing his game mode to the broader public in H1Z1, he went on to create the multi-award-winning game carrying his name, called PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS. During PLAYERUNKNOWN'S time at Bluecorp (now PUBG Corp) he was the Creative Director, he built the video game into what it turned into today. As a Creative Director, PLAYERUNKNOWN was very public with the entire development process in the early development stages which you can read through all the Dev Logs. A few years later in 2019, he left PUBG Corp to form PLAYERUNKNOWN Productions, an independent applied research & development studio to explore new technologies.

At the launch of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, the PLAYERUNKNOWN SET was given to all Alpha testers and all players who preordered the deluxe version of the game.
