Taego is the 8th playable map for BATTLEGROUNDS.

Summary

Taego, the tranquil area where a fierce battle took place and became the first battleground [1]. Filled with diverse terrain and environments, numerous towns, compounds, and unique points of interest across the Battleground where the present is the 1980's. Be on the lookout for wildlife, with flocks of birds (like Chickens) reacting to player movement and gunfire, giving you a potential early sign of danger ahead.

Update #64 (Season 18 - Update 18.2)

We’ve adjusted the spawn rates of the zippy Coupe RB! Now it can be found in more maps and modes. Therefore, spawn rates of certain vehicles on certain maps have been slightly adjusted.

  • Update: Coupe RB has been added.
    • Coupe RB’s spawn rate is roughly 10% of all vehicle spawns.
    • Motorcycle w/ sidecar’s spawn rate has decreased by roughly 46%.

Update #56 (Season 13 - Update 13.2)

  • The Taego minimap has been updated to make it easier to identify by making the outline of the unplayable area a bit darker.
  • Based on community feedback, we decided that the first phase of the Taego Blue Zone was a bit long. Therefore, we have reduced the duration of the first phase to provide a smoother Taego play experience. Enjoy more dramatic Taego through quicker farming!

  • Taego is available as the Featured Map.
  • Playable in TPP and FPP.
    • Solo and Squads, including 1-man Squad Modes are available.
    • Duos are not available.
    • Depending on your region, available modes and perspectives will vary.
  • Up to 100 players.
  • Bots can spawn.
  • Clear weather.
  • No Red Zone.
  • Wildlife: Two friendly bird varieties reside throughout Taego, reacting to player movement and gunfire.
  • Taego is available in Custom Matches.
