Assault Rifles

Assault Rifles (AR) are a type of weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS.

Summary

Assault Rifles are weapons with medium-high ammo capacity and the ability to place a lot of rounds downrange quickly. While they don't boast the ammo limit of Light Machine Guns, they trade it for a much higher accuracy. Similarly, there is a trade-off with higher accuracy weapons like DMRs or Sniper Rifles in that those weapons have a much lower rate of fire and ammo capacity compared to Assault Rifles. As such, Assault Rifles are a midpoint between the weapons in BATTLEGROUNDS.

Update #47 (Season 9 - Update 9.2)

We are constantly listening to your feedback and discussing community sentiment internally. After careful review, we agree with many of you that the Beryl adjustment with 9.1 update wasn't effective enough at reducing the strength of the Beryl in relation to other ARs and have made the following follow up adjustments this patch:

• To reduce the difference in reload speed of Beryl with M416, SCAR-L, QBZ, G36C following adjustments were made.
  • Magazine reload times of M416, Scar-L, QBZ, G36C has been decreased by 10%.
  • Magazine reload time of Beryl has been increased by 5%.
• Horizontal recoil of Beryl has been increased.

Note: Since Bluehole doesn't release the official stat values for any weapons, no website has 100% accurate numbers. Each website relies on hundreds of spreadsheets and each website has different results. Most websites record their data via private matches and some don't include range. No one knows if the tests are consistent. In short, no one has the exact numbers, but this data is close to the real values.
