Beryl M762
The Beryl M762 is an assault rifle type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS. While its outward appearance would imply it being a direct variation of an AK/RPK-pattern rifle, it is actually an export variant of the FB Beryl, with its name bearing the 7.62mm caliber it is chambered for.
This weapon was introduced in the Test Server PC 1.0 update #20.
Summary
The Beryl M762 is a versatile assault rifle with more attachment points than the AKM, on par with the SCAR-L. Its base damage per shot is slightly lower than the other 7.62mm assault rifles, offset by its rate of fire being almost as fast as that of the Groza, allowing its overall damage per second to be significantly higher than the comparable AKM. This comes at the cost of significantly higher recoil that — unlike the AKM — can be reduced by attaching foregrips.

Update history

Update #47 (Season 9 - Update 9.2)
We are constantly listening to your feedback and discussing community sentiment internally. After careful review, we agree with many of you that the Beryl adjustment with 9.1 update wasn't effective enough at reducing the strength of the Beryl in relation to other ARs and have made the following follow up adjustments this patch:
- To reduce the difference in reload speed of Beryl with M416, SCAR-L, QBZ, G36C following adjustments were made.
- Magazine reload time of Beryl has been increased by 5%.
- Horizontal recoil of Beryl has been increased.

- Base damage reduction: 46 → 44.
- Increased vertical recoil of early spray by 5%.
- Increased horizontal recoil of early spray by 5%.
- Slightly increased the minimum horizontal recoil.
Update #41 (Season 7 - Update 7.2)
- Increase muzzle velocity from 680 m/s to 740 m/s.
- Decrease recoil.
Update #31 (Season 4 - Update 4.1)
- Reduced base damage of Beryl M762 from 47 to 46.
Pre-release
- Added a new assault rifle, the Beryl M762.
- A new versatile Assault Rifle which spawns on Erangel, Miramar and Sanhok.
- Beryl M762 uses 7.62mm ammunition and can load up to 30 rounds (40 with an extended magazine).
- The Beryl has upper and lower rails, allowing for scopes and a grip.
- It has lower per bullet damage than the AKM, but a higher firing rate, meaning higher DPS if you can control the kick.
